The upcoming two months are marked by a number of regionally important dental fairs in Europe, from which dental dealers will gain a broad impression of business opportunities in Europe.” Most importantly, the 2016 FDI Annual World Dental Congress is taking place in Poland, which has a dynamic and growing dental market. The ADDE encourages all member organisations to attend the events to learn more about the European market.

FDI Annual World Dental Congress, Poznań, Poland: 7–10 September
The 2016 FDI Annual World Dental Congress will be held in the Polish city of Poznań, right in the heart of Europe. The event combines an international congress boasting an excellent scientific programme with a grand exhibition, forums, industry symposia, hands-on courses, programmes for dental technicians, hygienists and assistants, and meetings of the World Dental Parliament. Over 12,000 dentists are expected to attend the congress. The opening ceremony will take place on 7 September, and the social programme includes a gala dinner on 8 September and Polish Night on 9 September. Dental-Expo, Moscow, Russia: 26–29 September
The 40th Moscow International Dental Forum and Exhibition will be held at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre. Around 500 exhibitors and 33,000 visitors are expected to attend the event. BDIA Dental Showcase, London, UK: 6–8 October
More than 350 dental companies will be attending the Dental Showcase at the ExCeL London exhibition and convention centre this year. As the largest dental show in the UK, about 12,000 visitors attend to discover the very latest dental innovations. The Implant Zone will be back for 2016 and new features include the Networking and Meeting Zone, Go Digital! Zone and two additional education theatres. Dentex, Brussels, Belgium: 6–8 October
Dentex is Belgium’s only trade fair for the dental industry. The 20th anniversary edition of the biannual event will be held at the Brussels Expo, and 150 companies and 6,000 dental professionals are expected to attend. This year’s exhibition is complemented by a series of seminars and demonstrations. Furthermore, the organisers have introduced the Dentex Innovation Award to encourage innovation and a dedicated zone has been earmarked for exhibitors to showcase their new products and services. PRAGODENT, Prague, Czech Republic: 6–8 October
The PRAGODENT dental fair, which is celebrating its 24th anniversary this year, will be held at the Exhibition Grounds in Prague. PRAGODENT is the largest and only comprehensive such fair in the Czech Republic. Each year, the majority of Czech companies in the industry, as well as leading international companies, represented by their local branches or dealers, participate in the event. Last year, 176 direct exhibitors and around 9,000 visitors attended the event. Tickets can be purchased online. Website: www.pragodent.eu/

Dental World, Budapest, Hungary: 13–15 October
Dental World is one of the largest dental events in east central Europe. The 16th exhibition will take place at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Fair Center. Around 10,000 visitors, 3,000 congress participants and 230 exhibitors are expected to attend the event. The conference and workshop programme for dentists, dental technicians, dental hygienists and dental assistants will allow attendees to satisfy their professional interests, as well as fulfil the requirement to attend continuing education courses. DENTA, Bucharest, Romania: 20–22 October
The 34th edition of the DENTA dentistry and dental technologies international exhibition will take place at the Romexpo exhibition centre. The most important Romanian trade fair in the dental industry, DENTA offers the appropriate platform for entering the Romanian market and for purchasing products and equipment at special prices. At the event, domestic and foreign companies exhibit equipment, accessories, materials, oral hygiene products, and chemical and pharmaceutical products. Tickets can be purchased online in advance.
